The Garmin adapter plate allows an opening cut for a GPSMAP 7×2 chartplotter to be adapted for a GPSMAP 7×3 chartplotter installation.

You may cut slots for nut plates instead of holes, which can allow easier installation of the nut plates.

Verify pilot hole locations, secure the new chartplotter to the plate and surface, follow the GPSMAP 7×3 installation instructions, and snap on the trim caps.

Remove the old chartplotter, clean surface, mark and drill new holes per the GPSMAP 7×3 series instructions, and secure using the included hardware.

The surface should be cleaned of any existing gaskets or marine sealant before placing the adapter plate.

Use the included wood screws, or the included machine screws and nuts, depending on the size of the existing holes.
