Create a close-fitting, reusable mast chock between a keel-stepped mast and the deck partners without traditional wedges.
Spartite 2000 is a pre-measured two-part polymer poured around the mast while it is stepped and correctly aligned. Once cured, it forms a single-piece support that distributes loads around the mast and helps reduce water ingress at the partners.
Key benefits
- Full-perimeter support: The cured chock conforms to the available space around the mast instead of concentrating load at individual wedges.
- Repeatable mast position: The formed chock can remain with the mast, helping restore the established position when the mast is stepped again.
- Complete installation system: The system is supplied for building the temporary mould and mixing the pre-measured two-part compound; follow the instructions supplied with the exact pack.
Compatibility and installation
For keel-stepped masts. Calculate the required volume from the deck-partner opening area minus the mast cross-sectional area, multiplied by the intended pour depth. Stabilise and tune the mast before pouring. The mould must be fully sealed, and water or other contaminants must not contact the compound during mixing or curing. Follow the supplied instructions and allow the specified cure time before sailing or removing supports.
