Class B 5 W SOTDMA AIS transceiver with an integrated VHF antenna splitter for sharing the existing antenna with the radio.
The EM-TRAK B953 transmits the vessel identity, position, course and speed and receives nearby AIS targets. GPS and its antenna are integrated; navigation equipment can be connected through NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183 or USB. This version does not include Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
Key benefits
- Integrated VHF splitter: shares a suitable VHF antenna between AIS and radio through the two SO-239 connectors.
- Navigation integration: NMEA 2000 Micro-C, NMEA 0183 and Micro-USB for a chartplotter, PC or other compatible equipment.
- Protected installation: FLEXI-FIT bracket, integrated GPS and IPX6/IPX7 protection.
Compatibility and installation
Connect to a chartplotter or display that accepts AIS data through NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183, or to a computer through USB. Splitter installation requires a VHF antenna suitable for 156 and 162 MHz, cable terminated with PL-259 and a VHF radio with a coaxial connection. Check the onboard network, available cabling and the distance to the antenna and radio before ordering.
