Ready-to-use jointing compound that helps prevent galvanic corrosion where dissimilar materials meet.
Duralac Green forms a durable protective barrier between dissimilar metals. Its flexible, low-water-absorption formulation is intended for marine, automotive, aerospace and general engineering assemblies exposed to moisture or salt-laden environments.
Uses and benefits
- Galvanic protection: Helps prevent anodic decomposition between dissimilar metals, including aluminium or magnesium alloys in contact with other materials.
- Marine resistance: Low solubility in water, strong adhesion and resistance to erosion by flowing water.
- Versatile application: Suitable for fasteners, rivets, fittings, masts, winches, aerials, battery connections and metal-to-wood or composite interfaces.
Application
Apply by brush to clean, dry contact surfaces. Duralac Green is supplied ready to use and must not be thinned. Assemble the joint while the compound remains tacky so it flows under pressure and closes gaps between the mating surfaces.
Close the tube after use. Follow the safety information on the packaging and use suitable protective equipment.
